Jari is an experienced executive search professional with extensive experience managing demanding C-level executive searches across various industries. His expertise spans various sectors, including growing and internationalizing SaaS companies, manufacturing, publicly traded companies, municipal corporations, and insurance firms. Jari's areas of specialization include business management, financial management, communications, sustainability, and reputation management, where he has consistently demonstrated exceptional results.
Jari is also a seasoned and certified Executive Coach (PCEC), which gives him a profound ability to understand the needs and potential of leaders. This combination makes him exceptionally skilled at identifying top candidates and coaching them to become even more successful and psychologically mature leaders.
Before his career as an executive search professional and coach, Jari had a successful background as a CEO, editor-in-chief, and journalist specializing in politics and economics. This broad and diverse experience in society and business has provided him with deep insights into the challenges of business, communication, and leadership.
In his free time, Jari enjoys spending time at home with his family. He is also an active networker, an enthusiastic athlete, and a fan of detective and historical books and films.

As an experienced CEO, board member, and consultant, Pia supports Chief's clients with her experience in developing leadership and governance on the highest level.
Pia strongly believes that the success of companies is driven by interactive teams aligned with the company's strategy and lifecycle when individuals' skills and experiences complement each other.
At Chief, Pia is passionate to help Chief's clients in finding capable CEOs and in building well-functioning and diverse boards. This will enable our clients to develop, grow and prosper also in the future.
Pia currently serves as a board member in several companies, as well as a Certified Board Member (HHJ in Finnish) program coach, and she participates as an active member of Hallituspartnerit and Yrityskummit.
In her free time, Pia enjoys her life as a soccer mom and recharges her batteries in the tranquillity of nature.

Hannu-Matias has over 10 years of experience in executive search. Before founding Chief, Hannu-Matias worked as a CEO of a SaaS company. He has also worked as a CEO of an animation studio before joining the executive search industry. In addition, Hannu-Matias is the author of the book called “Toimitusjohtaja” (eng. CEO), awarded as one of the top 5 business books in Finland in 2022 by Suomen Ekonomit.
In his free time, Hannu-Matias is focusing on a different kind of coaching – he is a football coach for two junior teams in Kulps. He also enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Aija is a leadership and business developer, CEO, board and committee member, and chair with experience from Finland, Scandinavia, Central Europe, and China.
@Chief Executive Search Helsinki her focus is on C-level and Board assignments. She supports and coaches company owners, boards, and leadership teams in finding the best fit for their talent and leadership challenges. She has a versatile management consulting background e.g. with growth and internationalization, market and competitor intelligence, foresight, business scenarios and strategy, technology and service development, ESG, and strategic sustainability.
Aija has developed leadership teams since 2005 and extended to ownership and board development in 2014. She has experience in the public and private sectors, with startups, venture capitalists, and listed companies, especially in the IT sector. Aija is also a certified Coach by the Finnish Coaching Association. Aija has also written books about The Future of Finnish Leadership, Winning Management Teams, Strategy Work, Sustainable Leadership, Climate Change, and Sustainable Board Work.
Aija is a Certified Board Member, Boardman Partner & Sustainability Forum Chair, and Partner of Hallituspartnerit Helsinki - Board Professionals. She serves on several boards e.g. Board and Committee member at the Nordic Boards Impact Forum, the World Economic Forum climate initiative.
In wintertime, you can find Aija Nordic skating in the Espoo archipelago. She also loves sailing, golf, and culture in various forms.

Sanna has experience working with clients from various industries, such as real estate, manufacturing, IT/Tech/SaaS, private equity, and B2B services/solutions.
Before joining Chief, Sanna worked as the Head of Research and a member of the Finnish management team at Wise People Group, a Nordic executive search, recruitment, and HR consulting company. Sanna has supported her clients finding top executives for over 8 years. Sanna holds an MSc in economics, from LUT University majoring in knowledge management and leadership.
Outside of work, Sanna enjoys an active lifestyle including dancing, swimming, and going to the gym. In addition, she is a part-time artist and has custom-made two paintings for our office.

Kirpi Salonen

Kirpi specializes in consulting clients on their strategic hires across industries. She is intellectually curious and promotes diversity of thought and long-term thinking at her work. Kirpi has successfully conducted hundreds of executive search assignments including CEO, Board Member, and executive appointments as well as suitability assessments and coaching. She has experience conducting projects for public, private equity, and privately held companies.
Prior to joining Chief, Kirpi was leading and controlling project delivery and securing excellence of service at one of the top global executive search firms in Helsinki. In addition, She leverages her HRD, recruitment, and employer branding experience and multicultural background. Having lived in five countries she is familiar with diverse and cross-cultural working environments. Kirpi holds an MSc (International Strategic Management) degree from Lund University. She is also a certified employer branding professional and executive coach.
Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her close ones either in sports activities such as tennis, swimming, gym, running, or traveling and enjoying culinary experiences.
